Copyright Policy & DMCA

Last Updated: March 26, 2026 | Effective Immediately

⚡ Quick Summary

FaithStream is a User Generated Content (UGC) platform for Telugu Christian artists. All artists affirm ownership of their uploaded music. If you believe your copyrighted work is on our platform without authorization, you can submit a takedown request and we will act within 48 business hours.

1. FaithStream's Commitment to Copyright

FaithStream respects the intellectual property rights of creators. We are committed to complying with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and other applicable copyright laws. We take a zero-tolerance approach to copyright infringement on our platform.

As a UGC platform, every artist who uploads music to FaithStream must explicitly confirm — at the time of upload — that:

  • They are the original creator of the content, or have been granted all necessary rights and licenses to upload and distribute it.
  • The content does not infringe upon the copyright, trademark, or any other intellectual property rights of any third party.
  • They grant FaithStream a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to stream the content to users on the platform.

2. Repeat Infringer Policy

In accordance with the DMCA and our commitment to protecting intellectual property, FaithStream maintains a policy of terminating accounts of users who are repeat infringers. We define a repeat infringer as any user who has received two or more valid DMCA takedown notices. Such accounts will be permanently banned from the platform without refund of any paid subscription.

3. How to File a Copyright Infringement (DMCA Takedown) Notice

If you are a copyright owner, or authorized to act on behalf of one, and you believe that content on FaithStream infringes your copyright, you may submit a DMCA Takedown Notice to our designated copyright agent.

Where to Send Your Notice

Send your DMCA notice via email to our Copyright Agent:

copyright@sotersystems.in

Please include "DMCA Takedown Request" in the subject line.

What Your Notice Must Include

For your notice to be valid under the DMCA (17 U.S.C. § 512), it must contain all of the following:

  1. Your Identity: Your full legal name, physical or mailing address, email address, and telephone number.
  2. The Copyrighted Work: A description of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed (e.g., the name of the song and the artist).
  3. The Infringing Content: Identification of the material on FaithStream that you claim is infringing, with sufficient detail for us to locate it (e.g., the link/URL to the song on our platform).
  4. Good Faith Statement: A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  5. Accuracy Statement: A statement that the information in your notice is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
  6. Signature: Your physical or electronic signature.

Notices that do not comply with these requirements may not receive a response. Abuse of this process (e.g., filing knowingly false notices) may result in legal liability under Section 512(f) of the DMCA.

4. Our Response Process

Upon receipt of a valid DMCA notice, FaithStream will:

  • Acknowledge receipt of your notice within 1–2 business days.
  • Remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing content while we investigate.
  • Notify the artist/uploader that their content has been subject to a takedown notice.
  • Act on the dispute within 48 business hours of receiving a complete, valid notice.

5. Counter-Notice Process

If an artist believes their content was removed due to a mistake or misidentification, they may file a Counter-Notice. A valid counter-notice must include:

  • Identification of the material that was removed and its location before removal.
  • A statement under penalty of perjury that the removal was a mistake or misidentification.
  • The artist's name, address, phone number, and email address.
  • A statement consenting to the jurisdiction of the relevant courts.
  • The artist's physical or electronic signature.

Counter-notices should also be sent to copyright@sotersystems.in. If a valid counter-notice is received, FaithStream may restore the content after the legally required waiting period, unless the original complainant files a court action.

6. Good Faith Use & Fair Use

FaithStream acknowledges that copyrights can be complex and that certain uses of copyrighted material may qualify as "fair use" or similar doctrines under applicable law. We evaluate all notices and counter-notices in good faith and in accordance with applicable law.
